Home made Aquarium

On my big day out to 'Michaels' arts and crafts shop, I came across so many cute little tiny objects that are perfect for introducing Harry to vocabulary. Children love tiny objects but unfortunately they are not safe for Harry's age as he could easily choke on them so I have put them in mason jars in water and plastic bottles of water for now so he can still observe them.

He loves his little 'under-the-sea' themed aquarium that I made for him using jar, rice and water. Jar was only $1 and the sea creatures came to $5. Obviously it's in a glass jar so he's only allowed to hold it under supervision and he must be very gently. (teaching him responsibility early on!)

You could also add some blue food colouring for fun. I just didn't have any in the house but it is on the shopping list!
