Bedroom: Fit for our Prince
Finally, this weekend I got to declutter and get rid of old office furniture from our spare bedroom and turn it into a nice bedroom for Harry! It feels so much brighter and spacious now. He even sleeps better. Can you believe that? For the past two nights he has slept from 8pm-8am! I am a firm believer that clutter and too many toys or furniture cause confusion for a young child. The proof is in the pudding! I often pack up Harry's toys and put them away and rotate them. He is in a way better mood when I do this as he can chose what to play with easily and is not overwhelmed.
It is still not 100% complete, as I would like to add a little colourful book shelving to add a splash of colour but not too much. I want it to be a calm, relaxing space for him. He has taken over half of the living room with his toys and activities so bedroom will mainly be for sleeping and reading only...well for now!
I love his little reading corner with books and child-sized rocking chair! Again from Home Goods!
I bought some nice wall art from Marshalls and Home Goods to add a bit of colour and nature to his room. I think 'Animals from around the world' would be an appropriate theme that you can see in throughout his room.
